The Honourable Judge Marion Buller was appointed the first female First Nations judge in British Columbia in 1994.

Buller is from the Mistawasis First Nation in Saskatchewan.

Last Wednesday, Indigenous Affairs Minister Carolyn Bennett introduced Buller as the chief commissioner of the national inquiry into missing and murdered Indigenous women.
