Akwesasne seeks compromise as businesses struggle with toll

The Mohawks of Akwesasne have a plan to make getting to part of their territory cheaper.

At the moment, all non-status card holders must pay to cross onto Mohawk territory.

A planned new bridge isn’t going to change that.

According to the Mohawks of Akwesasne and local businesses, things should change.
