Young mother laid to rest after fatal hit-and-run outside Edmonton

Friends and family members said a final goodbye to Angel Cardinal Thursday, a 19-year-old killed in a hit-and-run collision last month.

Cardinal was buried yesterday after being struck by a vehicle as she walked along Highway 28 outside Edmonton between 4:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. on Feb. 26.

Her grieving relatives are looking for answers as to who committed the fatality.

But in the meantime, they remembered Cardinal in a eulogy as a “bright, beautiful soul” and mother of two. Cardinal lived in Edmonton.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Morinville RCMP detachment at 780-939-4520 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
