The two missing women from the Kitigan Zibi First Nation have been reunited with their families.

Nicole Whiteduck and Laura Spence surfaced about an hour north of the reserve Thursday morning.

They were lost, tired and hungry.

The women were reported missing Wednesday and the news sent a wave of panic across the community.

The case mirrored the disappearance of Maisy Odjick and Shannon Alexander five years ago.

As APTN’s Annette Francis reports, this time, police acted differently.
