As couples celebrate Valentine’s Day there were marches and vigils across Canada to remember loved ones who are gone.

At last count, more than 600 Aboriginal women have gone missing or have been murdered in Canada since the 1970s.

In Ottawa, one woman picked up roots to spread the word about this crisis.

APTN National News reporter Annette Francis has the story.

    This is so sad to hear about, i urge these women to keep up the pressure on the different levels of Government. Our First Nation leaders must also make this issue, a priority in their discussions with the Federal Government.
