Saskatoon’s bilingual Cree school is growing again


A bilingual Cree-English language school in Saskatoon is expanding and consolidating.

St. Frances School, which enjoys record enrollment thanks to high demand from parents, has been operating out of two buildings.

A new facility should open by the fall of 2023 with $34.5 million in funding from the Saskatchewan government announced Wednesday.

Priscilla is Cree and a member of Mistawasis Nehiyawak in Saskatchewan.
