Resource revenue sharing was a hot topic at the Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association’s annual conference this week in Saskatoon.

With dropping oil prices and concerns Saskatchewan could soon be faced with a recession, urban municipalities wanted a guarantee the province wouldn’t alter or cut its revenue sharing agreement.

While Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall wasn’t clear on whether municipalities will get those dollars, he was clear the money wouldn’t end up in the hands of First Nations.
