A prisoner death in the Saskatoon police detention cells is opening old wounds for a First Nation family.

An unidentified 57-year-old man was picked up for public intoxication.

That was Tuesday evening last week.

By Wednesday morning he was dead in a cell.

APTN National News reporter Larissa Burnoff met with the family of a 19-year-old man who died in the very same cells more than two years ago.
