It’s a prescription painkiller that suddenly arrived on the streets of Canada and into the hands of addicts.

Fentanyl has been acutely felt in British Columbia where officials announced a health emergency over the drug.

Now health officials and police are meeting in Calgary, Alta., to talk about what to do about it.
