Healing Horses: Making connections through a new program on Manitoulin Island

You wouldn’t know it, but Marcia Manitowabi hasn’t always worked with horses.

But after experiencing their healing powers four years ago, she decided to become an instructor to help others.

She found a mentor and became a certified equine-assisted learning facilitator.

That’s how Nanaandwejgejig Bezhigoogizhik (in Ojibwe) or Healing Horses on Manitoulin Island in Ontario was born.
