The former chief of Key First Nation in Saskatchewan was given house arrest and probation for trafficking morphine Friday.

The former chief of Key First Nation in Saskatchewan was given house arrest and probation for trafficking morphine Friday.

Clarence Papequash received six weeks of house arrest and probation lasting six months, concurrently.

Papequash pleaded guilty in May after his arrest in 2011.

The trafficking happened while he was in office.
