Ferry to Georgian Bay First Nation shut down by Transport Canada leaving people stranded

An island community that sits on the southwestern part of Georgian Bay has had it’s ferry shut down by Transport Canada.

Officials deemed the ferry to be unsafe.

The community of 800 is now in limbo.
