Environmental groups in B.C. shut down Trans Canada


Environmental groups in British Columbia shut down the Trans Canada Hwy Monday in an effort to pressure the government to stop the cutting of old-growth forests.

Traffic along the major highway that crosses Canada was interrupted in Nanaimo, Victoria, Vancouver and in the interior of B.C.
