Members of the Dakota Nation in Western Manitoba have appeared in provincial court answering charges for selling untaxed tobacco products to the public.

But the First Nation says it’s their right to buy and sell tobacco.

As APTN’s Shaneen Robinson reports, they argue, the Manitoba Government can’t stop what Indigenous People have been doing for thousands of years.
