Canada’s oldest, largest friendship centre facing new troubles from grandmothers, AIM

There are new problems for one of Canada’s oldest, and largest friendship centres in Winnipeg.

A group of grandmothers, including a board member, have organized to overthrow the board at the Winnipeg Indian and Metis Friendship Centre.

The centre’s funding has been suspended and they’re in hot water with the American Indian Movement.
