In September 2009, Geraldine Beardy allegedly stole a can of luncheon meat from a Winnipeg convenience store.
The store owner, Kwang Soo Kim, was accused of attacking her with a bat.
Kim was charged with manslaughter after Beardy died a few days after the incident.
But as APTN’s Matt Thordarson tells us, what happened in court has created quite a stir.
