Advocates question how police handling of MMIW cases will be examined during national inquiry

A leaked copy of Canada’s draft terms of reference for its national inquiry makes no specific mention of police

Police services across the country have long been criticised for their handling of cases of missing and murdered Indigenous women.

That’s why some are raising concerns over the amount of scrutiny police will face during the upcoming national inquiry.
