Council of Yukon First Nations launches community impact statement pilot project

The Council of Yukon First Nations is launching a community impact statement pilot project that will be used in the sentencing procedure of a person who has pled guilty to a crime. The goal is for First Nations to be heard when it comes to the impacts of crime and to promote healing.
