Tradition of archery carries on at the Games

Before it was a sport, archery was a way of life for many aboriginal people.

Many young people at the North American Indigenous Games are carrying on the tradition of archery, including one 12 year old who qualified for the under 19 competition.

The cultural exhibits on the grounds of the First Nations University are a wealth of teachings from the diverse Indigenous cultures born on the many different lands of Turtle Island.
