COVID-19 forces Native women’s shelter in Montreal to close its doors

For the first time in its 20 years, the Native Women’s Shelter of Montreal has closed its doors.

The much needed space for the city’s urban Indigenous community was forced to close after most of its staff contracted COVID-19.

Now people are asking what comes next.
