Assembly of First Nations ends special chiefs assembly on a high note

It’s been quite a week in Ottawa where hundreds of chiefs and more than a thousand delegates gathered for the annual December gathering.

The week kicked off with a speech by Justin Trudeau, the first sitting Prime Minister to address chiefs in assembly.

On Wednesday, RCMP Commissioner Bob Paulson admitted that here is racism against Indigenous peoples in the rank and file of the mounties.

APTN’s Annette Francis spoke to a few chiefs to find out what happens now.
