How widespread is the issue of sexual abuse of children in Indigenous communities?

Charges against a chief in Manitoba are bringing up a topic that is often the elephant in the room. The sexual abuse of children in our families and communities happens a lot, but no one wants to talk about it openly unless someone gets charged or sent to jail.
