Motion to recognize residential schools as act of genocide passes unanimously

NDP MP Leah Gazan reintroduced a motion to recognize what happened in Canada’s residential school system as an act of genocide. Gazan introduced the same motion last year and it failed to pass – but this time it was passed unanimously.
