Indigenous Peoples in Taiwan struggle for recognition


We don’t hear much about Taiwan unless a foreign dignitary visits the island nation that China claims as a territory.

But the tiny democracy recognizes 16 Indigenous Peoples.

Who have had to struggle for recognition amid competing colonial powers for many years.
