Atikamekw community of Opitciwan in Quebec officially adopts tailor-made child welfare law

First Nations in Quebec are celebrating a ‘historic’ step forward on the child welfare file. The Atikamekw community of Opitciwan has officially adopted its own tailor-made child welfare law – the first of its kind in the province.
