New practice prevents POC from being lawyers and judges, association says

The Canadian Civil Liberties Association is calling out a practice that they say prevents Indigenous and people of color from being lawyers and judges. It's called the ‘Good Character Screening’ and the trouble, they say, is it screens-out marginalized people who may be related to criminals, or have had police contact themselves in their past. Equality Director of the Canadian Civil Liberties Association Noa Mendelsohn Aviv joins APTN National News to explain.
