The province of British Columbia is being accused of trying to shake down the federal government.

On Monday, the province announced a list of demands it wants met before it agrees to the Enbridge Northern gateway pipeline which will take Alberta bitumen to tankers on the B.C. coast.

Some fear the statements made by the provincial government will divide B.C. and pave the way for future conflict.
