Standing Rock camp founder Joye Braun dies at age 53

One of the first people to set up camp on the banks of the Cannonball River in Standing Rock has passed away. Joye Braun was the founder of the Oceti Sakowin Camp at Standing Rock. Her lodge was one of the first to go up and the last to come down.
