November 16 marks 138 years since the execution of Métis leader Louis Riel

November 16 marks 138 years since the execution of Louis Riel, the Métis leader and founder of Manitoba who fought for his nation's rights and identity. In Winnipeg, Manitoba Métis citizens gathered around Riel's grave site to pay tribute to him.
