March in Ottawa shines light on crimes against children who went to residential schools

The March for Truth and Justice took place Saturday in Ottawa, shining a light on crimes committed against children who went to residential school. About 200 people gathered on Parliament Hill, marching to the Prime Minister's Office and then to the Department of Justice. The event was co-sponsored by two NDP MPs, Charlie Angus and Mumilaaq Qaqqaq. They want Justice Minister David Lametti to appoint a special independent prosecutor who would treat the recent discoveries of unmarked graves across Canada as crime scenes.
