Edmonton Police Service looking for members for their new Nisohkamakewin Council

The Edmonton Police Service are looking for six additional members for their new Nisohkamakewin Council – meaning “the act of helping” in Plains Cree. The goal of the council is to improve police relations with the Indigenous community and to implement recommendations from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls inquiry.
