Deb Haaland makes history as first Indigenous person to lead U.S. cabinet agency

New Mexico Rep. Deb Haaland made history this week when she was sworn in as President Joe Biden's secretary of the interior – the first time an Indigenous person has led a cabinet agency in the United States. A designer from Canada made the ribbon skirt Haaland wore.
