Calls grow to remove the name of Vital-Justin Grandin from landmarks across Canada

Calls are growing in major cities across Canada for the removal of landmarks and memorials named after Vital-Justin Grandin. According to the TRC’s final report, the Roman Catholic bishop believed First Nations people needed to be “civilized” and that residential schools were a way of doing that.
