As deadline looms, we get insight into the appeal on a CHRT ruling

Friday is the deadline set by the federal court on whether it will appeal a ruling that upholds an order by the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal. The tribunal ordered Canada to pay First Nations children who were taken into state care, because the system was knowingly underfunded. Cindy Blackstock is particularly interested in this case. She first brought it to the tribunal in 2007. She joins APTN National News from Ottawa to explain.
