Protesters greet official opening of Canadian Museum for Human Rights

Not everyone on hand to celebrate official opening

APTN National News
Not everyone on hand for the official opening of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights was there to celebrate.

Dozens showed up to protest … for many reasons.

They were missing and murdered Indigenous women, access to clean water, environmental concerns, abortion and Palestinian causes.

APTN’s Dennis Ward was there and has this story.

Host, Producer / Winnipeg

Dennis is Métis from southern Manitoba. After spending a decade working in TV in Alberta and Ontario, Dennis returned to Manitoba to join APTN’s Winnipeg bureau as a reporter/correspondent in September 2014.
