Drowning determined to be cause in Delaine Copenace’s death

Police in Ontario say foul play is not suspected in the death of a 16-year-old girl from Kenora, Ont.

The OPP said in a statement Thursday that the cause of Delaine Copenace’s death was determined by a coroner to have been the result of drowning.

Copenace’s remains were found on March 22 in Kenora. She had been missing reported missing on Feb. 28.

“No evidence of foul play was found,” said the OPP’s statement. “The cause of death has been determined by the coroner as drowning.”

    She just accidentally ended up by a body of water? And then went in? Cause she knew she couldn’t swim? Wow! Who does the coroner think he/she is fooling?
