Winnipeg’s council added its voice Wednesday to the call for a national inquiry on missing and murdered Indigenous women.
The vote comes after what some have called a turning point this summer in Winnipeg. The murder of 15 year-old Tina Fontaine, whose body was found in the Red River, touched a nerve right across the country.
