A new batch of WikiLeaks cables includes some interesting details about the botched raid in 2004 of Kanesatake.

The cables show that U.S. officials were closely monitoring the situation in the Mohawk community that was at the centre of the Oka crisis.

Some Kanesatake community members are now renewing their calls for a public inquiry.
