A long-delayed trial in South Dakota may finally answer the lingering question of who ordered the murder of Annie Mae Pictou Aquash.

Pictou Aquash, and American Indian Movement activist, was found executed on a U.S. reserve almost 35 years ago.

John Graham, who is from Canada and a former AIM member, is accused with her murder.

Prosecutors allege that Graham and three others killed Pictou Aquash because they believed she was a government spy.

APTN National News reporter Rob Smith goes back in time to tell us this story.
