Vancouver stepping up to protect street people amid pandemic

Vancouver is home to a large number of people whose lifestyle makes it nearly impossible to protect themselves from the novel coronavirus.

Good hand hygiene and self-isolation are elusive when one lives in crowded conditions and on the street.

Thursday the city announced it was erecting 10 hand-washing stations in the Downtown Eastside to help.

    handwashing only goes so far. and down there, not nearly far enough. what a joke.
