A three-day gathering in Edmonton is trying to put missing and murdered Indigenous women in the election spotlight.

Many think little to no attention has been paid to the issue in the federal election.

The gathering hopes to the serve many purposes.

Some, like prominent actress Michelle Thrush, thinks stopping the violence begins at home.
