Shoal Lake 40’s ‘Freedom Road’ closer to reality

Winnipeg city councillors recently visited the community

There is some optimism for people in Shoal Lake 40 following a visit by members of Winnipeg’s city council.

The community has been cut off from the mainland for a century.

But as APTN’s Dennis Ward reports, it would appear the funding for an all-weather road is coming together.
