Winnipeg police said they still consider the search for Mildred Flett a high priority.

Friends and family have not heard from or seen Flett in almost a year. Flett also goes by the name of Mildred Nelson.

Originally from Split Lake First Nation, Flett is described as having brown eyes, black hair and weights 140 to 150 lbs.

She may have cut her hair short.

Roseau River First Nation Chief Terry Nelson, Flett’s ex-husband, said the family is frustrated with the slow progress of police.

Nelson said the family is organizing its own search and offering a $5,000 reward.
