A school in suburban Winnipeg has been closed because it doesn’t meet provincial health and safety codes.

The school had been used by children evacuated from the flood-ravaged Lake St. Martin First Nation since last year.

About 80 children may soon be split-up and sent to different schools.

It’s more bad news for the entire community of St. Martin who had to be relocated from northern Manitoba to Winnipeg because of a flood last year.

APTN National News reporter Ntawnis Paitpo goes inside the school.
