A dollar store in the community Wetaskiwin is selling a plastic, made-in-China “Indian weapon” peace pipes and a Halloween store is selling a “Sassy Squaw” costume.

But is it okay to play games with sacred items of a people’s culture or is it something to pass off as just a costume?

The company behind the Sassy Squaw costume has since pulled it.
