RCMP told to stay away from ceremonies in Saskatchewan

Concerns continue to be raised about two RCMP officers who walked onto the grounds where a Sundance Ceremony was taking place on the Beardy’s & Okemasis Cree Nation in Saskatchewan.

People were concerned when the officers showed up to the ceremony with their sidearms.

The RCMP say they received a call about the ceremony and arrived to investigate.

The Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations says the RCMP has no business going on their land uninvited.
