Quick Facts: 

Greg Rickford served as Parliamentary Secretary for Aboriginal Affars under minister John Duncan from January 30, 2011 to July 15, 2013. He is currently the Minister of Natural Resources.

Robert Nault served as minister of Indian Affairs (now Aboriginal Affairs) under prime minister Jean Chretien from 1999 to 2003. Nault introduced the First Nations Governance Act which was written to force chiefs and band councils to become more accountable to band members. It was denounced by Assembly of First Nations National Chief Matthew Coon Come.

Howard Hampton served in Ontario’s Legislature from 1987 to 2011. He served as the leader of the New Democratic Party from 1996 to 2009.

Ember McKillop is an elementary school teacher in Dryden, Ontario and also has a double major in outdoor recreation, parks, tourism and geography from Lakehead University. Her bachelor of education focused on Aboriginal education.
