Harlen Pruden was invited to speak about the historic place of 2 spirited people in First Nations culture.
The phrase 2 spirited is an anishnabe term meaning both a male and female spirit existing in the body.
As Tina House reports, Pruden also wanted to share some of the challenges that gay First Nations people face today.
