David Groulx works as a roofer in Ottawa,  but that’s not what he’s famous for.

The Ojibway man is an internationally-recognized poet, with five books under his belt and appearances in over a hundred international publications. He credits poetry with rescuing him from a life of addictions and struggle.

APTN National News reporter Trish Allison sat down with Groulx to talk about his work, and how poetry helps him heal.
