Ottawa police seek information on events leading to death of Inuit artist Annie Pootoogook

Inuit artist Annie Pootoogook was identified as the woman found dead in Ottawa’s Rideau River earlier this month, said Ottawa police.

Inuit artist Annie Pootoogook was identified as the woman found dead in Ottawa’s Rideau River earlier this month, said Ottawa police.

Police issued a statement asking the public for information on the last movements of Pootoogook.

Pootoogook was 46.

Her body was found on Sept. 19 at about 8:50 a.m. near Bordeleau Park in an area of Ottawa known as Lowertown, police said.
